5° - Pronounce Regular Verbs Correctly!

The sound of regular verbs may vary when they are in past form. Lest see!

Group A: Final "-ed" is pronounced /t/ after: (k,p, (gh=f) sh, ch, s, ss,x)

Group B: Final "ede" is pronounced /ed/ after "-d" and "-t".


“ed” = /ed/

Group C: Final "ed" is pronounced /d/ after the rest of the consonants in the alphabet:


“ed” = /d/
